This position is an IT Test analyst role working with a team of business analysts, developers, project managers, subject matter experts and product specialists based in New Ireland Assurance.

The purpose of the role involves quality & test advocacy, analyzing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility. Collaborate closely with other team members, SME's and departments. Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) Design and developing automation scripts/frameworks when needed. Resolution of issues that impede the testing effort and overall quality.

• Resource proposed must have the equivalent of 3-5 years' experience as a Test Analyst / Business Subject Expert.
• IT related 3rd level qualification (e.g. computer science degree or similar)
• Broad knowledge and understanding of Life and Pensions industry processes
• Identify and analyse opportunities for test automation
• Implement automation frameworks and approaches

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - with a particular strength in written communications;
• Takes personal responsibility for accuracy and quality
• Responsible for the creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability);
• Creates traceability records from test cases back to requirements;
• Manages/produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services;
• Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools;
• Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
• Interprets, executes and documents complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards;
• Records and analyses actions and results and maintains a defect register;
• Reviews test results and modifies test, if necessary;
• Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project;
• Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle, and different software development methodologies and frameworks
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and providing supervision, direction and support to other members of the team
• Excellent continuous improvement experience, including best principles
• Interest and curiosity in learning new systems and skills.
• Strong business acumen and customer focus.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred but not essential - alternative similar qualifications will be considered)

• Secure API testing experience
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience with test automation tools and libraries
• Designing automation scripts/frameworks and finding solutions for automation problems

• Ability to relate to business community and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Demonstrate personal ownership/responsibility for work with thorough follow through to conclusion along with flexibility and a quality focus.
• Flexibility to deal with changing priorities as required.
• Certifications in application delivery or modern software development and quality practices such as Agile, Product Management, and Quality Assurance are desired.
