Project Manager with Pomerleau. Using

Success is in the details and the core of what you
do. As a Senior Project Manager, you are
a scheduling guru keeping project goals, execution, people and communication
always top of mind. As a key member of
our team, we will rethink construction together,
from idea to completion. Everywhere. All
the time. Period.




  • Grow and maintain
    strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and
    clients to achieve the project goals and vision;

  • Develop and drive
    the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team ensuring
    that completion dates and milestones are met;

  • Take part in
    pre-construction activities, including oversight of estimating and
    proposal development.

  • Put your
    problem-solving skills to work and recommend innovative methods that will
    increase effectiveness and efficiency to ensure project excellence and
    productivity;

  • Use your proactive
    approach to ensure compliance with our first-class Quality Program;

  • Utilize your
    experience in trade partner selection and coordination of their
    activities;

  • Apply your
    financial management experience to plan, manage and respect project
    budgets, costs and associated purchasing;

  • Share your
    knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with
    project team members;

  • Keep the lines of
    communication open regarding project status and updates;

  • Be an expert in
    risk management to ensure any associated project risk is minimized;

  • Take pride in
    compiling and completing companywide project reports;

  • Demonstrate
    leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the
    project.   Effectively apply the
    requirements of the project specific safety standards to promote
    Pomerleau’s HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and
    codes with all employees and trade partners on the project

  • Celebrate project
    success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.



 



What YOU Will Bring




  • 8+ years’ experience in the
    Civil or ICI construction industry;

  • University Degree/Technology
    Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry
    experience;

  • A proven track record of
    managing complex projects whilst mentoring and developing up-coming
    Project Managers and Coordinators;

  • Outstanding leadership and
    organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and
    successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issues to
    bring the project to successful completion;

  • Strong knowledge of
    construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as
    building codes and associated legislation;

  • Role model status for health
    and safety as well as quality;

  • Bilingualism in French and
    English is required in our Quebec provinces only;

  • A passion to lead and develop a
    team.
