Key member in developing the Global Logistics Centre of Excellence.
Accountability for Global Transportation performance. Manage Third party provider compliance as it relates to business rules and performance levels.
Identify with Procurement and other key functions, a Freight Payment solution for the company, and implement to optimize payment process and cost management. Accountable for developing Freight Audit and Pay performance (business rules, freight wires, etc.) and management of 3rd party providers to Viatris.
Responsible for developing, sustaining, and growing the performance & productivity metric programs related to Global Logistics & Distribution. Drive business intelligence from facts and trends presented. Develop and manage KPIs and supporting analytical capabilities.
Deliver and grow project management capability & simplification initiatives through continuous improvement and lean methodology deployment. Organize and manage Global Logistics project delivery including monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on program tasks and milestones.
Participate in Global transportation provider selection and ongoing performance. Facilitate carrier reviews and any addition / removal of carrier partners based on business needs. Plan, manage and direct the daily ancillary services to ensure tracking, reporting, claims, among other tasks, are being performed efficient and effectively
Oversee and support monthly financial reporting and yearly budgeting processes related to Global Logistics OPEX (Distribution & Freight)
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
Distribution, Freight Management and LSP Management experience at global or regional level
Project management and analytical experience are essential
Evidence of People management is preferred
5+ years of experience in supply chain management
Proven track record of positively influencing at a senior level
Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment where flexibility and agility are key
Resilience and determination to enable the delivery of exceptional business process performance
Innovative mind-set and interest in evolving industry trends and technologies
Sound knowledge of material and project planning, business case development, and contract management.
Solid general management, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to recommend practical ways using innovation, good judgment, creativity and strategic thinking.
Ability to design, improve and maintain systems and work on own initiative
Bachelor's degree
