Summary of role:
The successful candidate will lead the strategy and design for AIBs Customer domain taking responsibility for customer platform transformation and customer relationship management, enabling best in class customer experiences aligned to AIBs digital ambitions.
They will be responsible for cascading and converting high-level technology roadmaps and standards for our Customer Platform to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions, aligning to relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards, and industry best practices.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Can see the bigger picture as well as giving attention to the smaller details.
- Is capable of defining and creating the target architecture and long-term road maps for a diverse range of applications within our Customer Platform and wider technology ecosystem.
- Is capable of cascading and convert high-level technology roadmaps to technical solution designs
- Can engage with and influence key business & IT stakeholders in the definition of requirements, and drive the design and implementation of appropriate technology solutions within our customer domain, and associated business platforms.
- Ensures that the solutions we design are customer centric and the design aligns with AIBs Technology Strategy, Enterprise Architecture principles and industry best practices.
- Can work with and motivate a team of IT specialist, providing technical guidance as appropriate on solutions that impact the customer domain and wider business platforms ensuring that consistent design patterns are applied to all changes.

Does this sound like something that you want to be part of?
You will need to show us that you can/have:
- A minimum of 10 years’ working in a technology domain, with evidence of driving cross domain multi-platform technology architecture in a complex application landscape. Customer systems/platform experience would be an advantage.
- Engineering background with proven experience in solution design and technical architecture;
Evidence of an outcome based approach to both.
- Very strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences; backed-up with strong interpersonal, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Very experienced in application design and system and technology integration; with a proven record of designing customer centric solutions to business problems, while demonstrating creativity, innovation and knowledge of best-practice design techniques.
- Ability to write technical documents to a high specification using industry tools and standards.
- Experience in shaping and defining a technology roadmap and strategy.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and direction to engineering teams
