Job Summary

We are seeking applications for the role of Clinical Nurse; This position would suit a Registered Intellectual Disability Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or a Registered General Nurse.

The role will entail a combination of working from home, and working from our Naas Clinic Office.

The Company

Nua Healthcare Services specialise in Residential Care, Supported Living Services, Community Outreach and Day Services for adults and children with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Health related needs.

Job Objectives

  • Ensure best practice in the Safe Management and Administration of Medication throughout the service

  • Organise and manage Consultant Psychiatrist clinics

  • Develop and deliver Clinical Training as required

  • Support in the development of Policy, Protocols, and Guidelines in line with best practice

  • Support the Monitoring health checks relevant to certain medication

  • Liaise with other Health Care Professionals

  • Support in the development of Health/Intimate Care/Medication Plans for new admissions

  • Respond to clinical needs with any house across the service

  • Monitor and address medication errors

  • Administration of depots and phlebotomy as required

  • Other duties as required per needs of service

Skills Required

  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management

  • An understanding of the needs of individuals
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Experience of supporting SU & staff in Social Care Model
  • Willingness to learn

  • Ability to plan time effectively
  • Full current driving license
