• Completes repair orders for general repair as requested
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment
• Assigns with proper training and direction completion of preventative maintenance work or repairs
• Completes all necessary reporting and documentation as required
• Ensures that property and equipment are maintained in a safe manner, and that all repairs are made as specified by manufacturer
• Reports any unsafe conditions to management
• Complies with company's safety / security rules and instructions in performing work efficiently while protecting self, fellow workers and the service users
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

The maintenance technician will be required to participate in an out of hours on-call roster as part of the maintenance team. The list of key duties is not exhaustive.

Essential Criteria:

• 1 years’ previous experience in a similar role
• Good knowledge of plants and vegetables
• Able to work as part of a team or individually
• Knowledge of grounds keeping, horticulture and gardening techniques are essential
• Flexible approach to work
• Self-starter with ability to work under minimum supervision
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
• Full Clean Driving Licence required for the post
