As our Receiving/Shipping Administrator, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Being the main point of contact for shipping inquiries for internal customers.
- Collaborating in risk management, improvements and mitigation.
- Maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
- Locating materials and supplies by picking and verifying the correct parts, quantities and serial numbers that customers request.
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks and make sure that each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
- Complying with SOPs and work instructions related to job function.
- Moving freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas and production areas either manually or using equipment such as forklifts.
- Entering data and generating reports.
- Reviewing records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Contributing to the culture of continuous improvement by looking for and communicating opportunities to improve performance.
- Proactively logging and escalating potential issues to minimize issues related to safety, quality, delivery and/or operational inefficiency.
- Ensuring the highest levels of accuracy in Oracle and shipping software transactions.
- Supporting the planning and layout of stockroom, warehouse and other storage areas. Considering safety, turnover, size, weight, sub-inventory, replenishment methods, visual organization and related factors of items stored.
- Reviewing records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Tracing history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

- Must possess the ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.

- Requires the ability to learn, use and maintain specialized equipment.
Your Experience and Education include:
- Experience of International complex shipping and trade compliance.
- Experience of Warehouse and Picking operations experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, shipment routing guides, etc. would be an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel.
- Experience with shipping software such as Fedex Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL or any other carrier or Freight Forwarder would be an advantage.
- Experience using an EDI system is an advantage.
