What you will do:

Multi-site & multi-divisional responsibility for leaders, project managers & engineers tasked with delivering high-performance business outcomes through the commercialisation of new additive products & platform technologies in line with divisional portfolios.

Ensures timely delivery of high quality, innovative new products, and technologies through close collaboration with our divisional business partners & GQO, enabling Stryker to win in the marketplace.
Drives focused compliance to divisional / corporate design control procedures.

                                   

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Be an effective partner across all functions within divisional and GQO organisations to deliver associated new products in line with divisional pipelines. Participate in and lead cross functional/divisional business forums and process improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for directing engineering teams to work effectively and build collaborative relationships with product development across multiple divisions and with manufacturing operations to improve the speed to market of new products, utilising the new product development processes and global advanced operations procedures.
  • Championing a culture of collaboration within the Advanced operations additive teams across the globe maximising and leveraging skill sets when required to ensure all projects are managed effectively and delivered in line with divisional expectations.
  • Driving a detailed understanding of “best practice” in product and technology launch readiness and performance within the ‘Medical Device’ industry.
  • Develop skills matrix in line with product road maps identifying the necessary training and coaching for team members to ensure that technical and team-based skills are acquired, applied, and maintained by team members.
  • Prepare and deliver annual budgets (headcount, expense and capital) for final review and approval. Approval authority for personnel requisitions and capital expenditure requests.
  • Partner with HR in identifying and acquiring top talent while developing and retaining talent within the team.
  • Establish priorities imparting a sense of urgency and importance to effectively deliver new products and technologies per quality, cost and time constraints.
  • Responsible for the implementation, enforcement and compliance of all relevant quality, regulatory and safety standards.
  • Pro-Actively evaluates team performance based on OKRs and other general business priorities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

     

What you will need:

  • B.S in Engineering, Science or business discipline required or a related master’s degree. Formal PMO qualification / accreditation desirable but not compulsory.
  • Minimum of 10 Years leadership experience or substantial engineering support or project management experience in a team-based environment. Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and presentation skills essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management and engineering experience in new product / technology introduction in a regulated environment preferred.
  • Flexibility essential with strong project management, Presentation, and written / verbal communication skills.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience of GD&T, project planning, process mapping, statistical methods and process/ product validations would prove beneficial.
  • Excellent PC skills (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident and effective decision maker, with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
