Location: Low Secure Mental Health Unit, Gormanstown, Co. Meath

We are currently seeking applications from Junior Doctors interested in joining Ireland’s first independently operated secure setting. The Junior Doctor will be based in the newly developed low secure mental health service working alongside a diverse multidisciplinary team. Candidates must demonstrate the necessary interest, capability, performance, and enthusiasm in line with the requirements of this role. The post holder will work within the medical team to provide care for inpatients in a secure setting.

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Full Registration with the Medical Council Ireland
• In good standing with Medical Council Ireland
• Good clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
• Experience of / with people with additional and/or complex needs
• Ability to work as a part of multidisciplinary, multi-model team
• Full Driving Licence

Desired criteria for the post:

• Knowledge of the MHA 2001
• Knowledge of the principles and practice of Psychopharmacology
• Good clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
• Reflective Practitioner with demonstrable ability to reflect on CPD undertaken
