Role
Overview



This is a new role,
and the Regional Fundraising position will play a key role in building
awareness and raising income in support of ALONE’s work.



The role will focus on
community and corporate fundraising as well as building support and awareness
of ALONE nationally.



Working with the
fundraising and the communications team this role is required to support the
growth of fundraising in ALONE. The regional fundraiser will be required:




  • To
    nurture, develop and manage key fundraising relationships with existing
    supporters.

  • To
    maximise income from Community and Corporate fundraising streams.

  • To
    develop existing community and corporate relationships.

  • To
    recruit new community and corporate relationships

  • To
    develop relationships with community groups and schools.

  • To
    develop materials for community groups and schools

  • To
    assist in the organisation of community and corporate fundraising events
    as required.

  • To
    work with ALONE’s service teams in the different CHO areas.

  • To
    assist with identifying volunteer recruitment opportunities for ALONE
    service teams as part of fundraising partnerships.

  • To
    promote awareness about the work of ALONE.

  • To
    assist with national fundraising activity.



Main
Responsibilities:



 



The regional
fundraiser will:




  • Work
    as part of the national fundraising team.

  • Develop
    ALONE’s community fundraising nationally.

  • Hold
    responsibility for nurturing, developing, and managing key corporate
    fundraising relationships with ALONE stakeholders predominantly in the
    South and South West region and to monitor and report on progress of these
    fundraising relationships to the Fundraising Manager.

  • Provide
    high levels of support and care in maintaining, fostering and enhancing
    relationships with existing, new and potential corporates and community
    groups who are supporting or wish to support ALONE’s work.

  • Ensure
    information sharing across the team and contribute to the development of
    the fundraising strategy.

  • Take
    responsibility for supporting the logistics, marketing, and PR with
    ALONE’s communications team where appropriate, for fundraising events for
    ALONE.

  • Promote
    ALONE’s key messages and build awareness of ALONE’s work in the region.

  • Develop
    and deliver local fundraising events and activities.

  • To
    ensure the CRM system (Salesforce) is used accurately to record income and
    all communication between ALONE and its supporters.

  • To
    Ensure donors are acknowledged and receive regular updates about ALONE’s
    work

  • Be
    prepared to work some evenings and weekends if required (time off in lieu
    provided).

  • To
    provide regular progress reports against targets.

Education and
Experience




  • Educated
    to 3rd Level preferably in business, marketing, PR or events.

  • A
    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fundraising role within a charity or
    related environment OR in a Sales/ Marketing / PR or Events role



 



Experience
/ Knowledge




  • Excellent
    written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Ability
    to work on own initiative.

  • Proven
    track record in income generation and budgetary management.

  • Ability
    to demonstrate initiative in achieving targets within a competitive
    environment.

  • Proficient
    use of CRM systems – Salesforce.

  • Ability
    to develop and nurture long term relationships with a range of
    stakeholders.

  • Knowledge
    of social media an advantage.

  • Ability
    to develop highly productive working relationships with supporters and
    funders of ALONE.

  • Keen
    focus on income generation at agreed and acceptable return on investment.

  • Ability
    to work across teams and engage staff in fundraising activities.

  • Successful
    applicant must hold a full clean driving licence.

The position is an
initial 2-year fixed term contract. We work a 35-hour week. The position offers
a hybrid working model and will require travel and flexibility. The salary
scale offered for this position will depend on skills and experience.
