Key responsibilities for this role include:
Oversee and coordinate with fleet coordinators and regional fleet management providers all fleet-related activities within the designated region, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and driver compliance.
Collaborate with local fleet coordinators and team members to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to global fleet management standards.
Monitor fleet utilization and identify opportunities for optimization and cost-saving measures.
Assist in the management of the regional fleet inventory, including vehicle acquisition, disposal, and replacement, based on the global fleet strategy and regional operational requirements.
Ensure that all vehicles are well-maintained and comply with safety and environmental standards.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for regional fleet performance and regularly report on metrics to the Global Fleet Director.
Analyze fleet data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities, providing recommendations and action plans accordingly.
Support annual sourcing value and sustainability objectives.
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including licensing, insurance, and vehicle registration requirements.
Assist local EHS Team with the newly implemented safety programs and initiatives to minimize fleet-related risks and accidents.
Collaborate with the Global Fleet Director, regional suppliers, service providers, and leasing partners to negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements.
Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Provide training and guidance to local fleet coordinators on best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the region.
Assist the Global Fleet Director in developing and managing the regional fleet budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in fleet management or related transportation management roles.
Strong understanding of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and supply chain principles.
Knowledge of local and international fleet regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage a regional team and liaise with global stakeholders.
Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office applications.
