What is the opportunity?

DevOps Engineer to provide technical knowledge on site for a financial services organisation. This is a great opportunity to provide leadership in the emerging DevSecOps field, for a high-profile financial services company. This team is pushing the technical boundaries and has a huge impact on the pace and quality of numerous major transformations for the company.

Key Accountabilities

Work with the DevOps team to deliver cloud infrastructure (AWS) for our customers

Implementation of Continuous Deployment of high Quality, Secure releases

Ensure QA tests are integrated into the build pipelines

Identify manual processes and inefficiencies and improve them through automation

Provide support across the department, provide technical guidance to cross functional teams

Analyse product source code and work with developers to propose appropriate test strategies

Use coding skills to implement test automation, automate daily tasks, and improve overall test coverage

Who are you?

Essential Qualifications

• 3rd level degree in Information Technology or similar

Desirable Qualifications

• AWS Certification preferred

Essential Skills / Experience

• Experience within an agile environment using CI with a high level of automation, including Python
• Candidates must have prior software development, quality assurance automation or system administration experience, in a Cloud (AWS) environment
• Excellent understanding of test automation principles and techniques: behaviour-driven development frameworks, test-driven development, code coverage, instrumentation, etc
• Experience integrating test automation (functional, performance & security) fully into the CI chain and how to keep tests healthy (Selenium, Behave, JMeter, Mockaroo)
• Prior experience working on public-facing websites, preferably on Wordpress, on Linux, Nginx, MySQL, Php stack.
• Experience with Selenium, AWS, Security frameworks such as OWASP
• AWS experience essential
• Accountability to see initiatives through to completion
