Job Descriptions

We are recruiting Professional Bus Drivers to join us in delivering a quality customer service. We are looking for people who will operate our buses safely and efficiently and who will make every effort to ensure our customers have a positive experience of Dublin Bus.

Minimum Requirements

B Licence Applicants  

  • A valid driving licence Category B (for a minimum of 2 years) with no endorsements
  • A valid D Licence Learner Permit
  • A valid CPC Bus Case Study sheet (Please note, the CPC bus case study is only valid for a period of 2 years from its date of issue.)

D Licence Applicants

  • Full category Irish D licence
  • Up to date valid driver qualification card, category D (CPC card)
  • An up- to- date copy from the online CPC Driver Portal as proof that your CPC is up to date, go to www.rsa.ie, click on Professional Drivers, click on Driver CPC then click on My CPC.

Please note if you do not have the minimum criteria your application will not be considered

Recruitment Process: Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken. Please read our information booklet which can be found here to ensure you are familiar with the application process.

Salary: €748.76 per week (5-day week inclusive of shift and Sunday premium), increasing to €916.50 (6 year pay scale).

Shifts: New drivers will operate scheduled services covering a 5-day week with rotating shifts (including night service).

Training: Initial training and mentoring is provided as well as on-going training and development (including periodic CPC).
