Salary: €35,490 – €38,532 DOE

 

The Role

As a Social Care Worker, you will provide individualised, strengths-based support to service users within their homes, schools, and communities. Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support individuals and families to build resilience, independence, and meaningful social connections.

This role is ideal for professionals who value autonomy, collaboration, reflective practice, and real community impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver holistic, person-centred support in line with individual care plans and personal goals
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support within community settings
  • Promote independence, dignity, safeguarding, and social inclusion
  • Support service users with:
  • Community engagement and outreach
  • School transport and attendance supports
  • Family access and supervised contact
  • Daily living skills (personal care, meals, appointments, routines, and social activities)
  • Work proactively and independently while maintaining regular communication with line management
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records and reports
  • Adhere to all organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and professional codes of practice
  • Contribute positively to a respectful, empowering, and trauma-informed environment

What We’re Looking For

 

We are seeking motivated professionals who are passionate about rights-based practice and making a meaningful difference.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Health Care, or a related discipline (or recognised equivalent)
  • CORU registration (Social Care / Social Work Register, as applicable)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and IT skills
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Garda Vetting clearance
  • Legal right to work in Ireland without restriction
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and professional boundaries
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, community-based environment
