Medical Lead in Ireland is accountable for Medical Plans and deliverables for Viatris in Ireland
The Medical Lead is a member of the Ireland leadership team and a strategic partner to the commercial organization, providing the medical/scientific perspective to country plans and activities.
Partners with Viatris Commercial Organization and is the point of contact & accountability to ensure medical alignment on key strategies, deliverables, portfolio growth & communication.
The Medical Lead represents the company’s scientific service in Ireland. The Medical Lead Ireland provides medical guidance and input working in cross-functional collaboration with commercial, legal, safety, medical information and regulatory colleagues in support of key product initiatives.
Provide in country Medical affairs services to the Viatris Ireland organisation for the whole portfolio of medicines.

About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
Medical doctor, Pharmacist or PhD or equivalent with a suitable scientific background.
Experience medical affairs professional with leadership experience and a collaborative mindset
Medical Signatory/ Final Signatory
Responsibility for development of the Medical Affairs Strategy, plan and budget
Managing the medical affairs team including leadership and coaching. Also responsible for recruitment, development and retention of talented colleagues

The Medical Lead represents the company’s scientific service in Ireland and provides medical guidance and input working in cross-functional collaboration with commercial, legal, safety, medical information and regulatory colleagues in support of key product initiatives and activities for the whole portfolio of medicines.
Activities include approval of promotional materials, field force training, as well as partnering cross-functionally on product and TA activities. Responsible for medical input within regulatory submissions, HEOR submissions/HTA dossiers, clinical guideline consultations, regional formularies and more
Demonstrated strong work ethic, and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines.
Ensure compliance of medical team with all relevant codes of conduct and relevant SOPs, regulations and guidelines
