The Quality Assurance (QA) Assessor is a key position within the Bord Gáis Energy Services and Solutions Quality Team. Your main purpose will be ensuring that all Services and Solutions delivered through Bord Gáis Energy are in line with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) standards and specifications, industry quality and safety guidelines and implemented according to our brand guidelines. As an Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme (EEOS) obligated party, Bord Gáis Energy must support energy efficiency projects throughout Ireland. We must also have a formal and structured Quality Management System to ensure that we deliver high quality energy credits and follow the requirements of the EEOS.
In this role you will aid with the development, implementation, operation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System and our Quality Assurance activities. You will carry out quality, environment, health, and safety (EHS) audits, of field operations and be a subject matter expert for Bord Gáis Energy’s Services and Solutions activities. You will build relationships with Engineers, Installers and operations teams You will also effectively reinforce the status of Bord Gáis Energy as a credible and trusted provider of Services and Energy Credits.
About the Role
Ensuring that all Services & Solutions products are delivered in line with SEAI standards and specifications, quality, safety, and brand guidelines
Ensure best in class quality of customer products
Assist with the development and implementation of ISO 9001
Assist in the development and implementation of Gas Safety Management System and Quality Policy for all internal and external vendors
Carry out EHS and quality audits (post, real time, desktop and SEAI) of service providers on all current and future Services and Solutions Products
Monitor and positively affect performance of Engineers and Installers
On site coaching of Engineers and Installers
Give positive and negative feedback in a helpful manner, showing a clear improvement path (written and oral)
Set and maintain quality and EHS standards in a highly motivated and dynamic work environment
Operate to set technical and safety policies and procedures as laid down in Irish Gas Standards/RGII/CRU/HSA/SEAI/NSAI/Building Regulations legislation
Generate, organise, and maintain SEAI, company and regulatory documentation, trackers, logs, and registers, in a methodical manner
Update audit records on current customer, quality and EHS systems and databases
Produce reports as needed
Participate in any oral hearings, meetings, and workshops
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage risks, policies, and procedures
Liaison with 3rd parties, e.g., product manufacturers or regulatory inspection units, to ensure that ‘best in class products are utilised as part of Services and Solutions offer to customers
You will have a direct impact on the service delivery and reputation of the Services & Solutions division. It is imperative that we stay renowned for our safety and quality standards
The role requires a level of judgment on the quality and standard of workmanship provided to customers on an ongoing basis
The position may require problem solving of any potential technical, safety or quality issues that may need addressing
Participation in the Bord Gáis Energy wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, safety, and quality systems

About You
You will have a national craft certificate or equivalent and be RGII (Register of Gas Installers of Ireland) registered
You will have technical expertise within a customer-centric service delivery business
You are a driven individual with excellent planning and organisational skills
Strong interpersonal and customer skills, with the ability to work with the public and within a wider team with specific targets
Strong communication skills and experience of the Microsoft product suite
A positive, safe attitude and approach to all work and training activities
You will have an in-depth knowledge of SEAI’s Technical Standards and Specifications and I.S 813
Experience in energy efficiency technology installations and auditing with a strong compliance mindset
Ability to convey complex information in a simple and transparent manner
Results-focused with the ability to develop and improve systems and processes
Full clean driving license and willing to travel to all counties within Ireland
Bachelors Degree
