Community & STEM Engagement
Merit has partnered with the University of Galway's Youth Academy since 2018, committing €250,000 over 6 years, now increasing to €500,000. The Academy offers STEM courses to students aged 9-12, expanding opportunities by providing 25% course placements on a scholarship basis. Merit Medical's involvement has positively impacted disadvantaged students and fostered community engagement through our involvement with the Galway Science & Technology Festival.
Additionally, Merit Medical supports local charities such as Galway Hospice, Pieta House, Bloodbike West, and Claddagh Watch Patrol, raising over €50,000 collectively.
