Role overview

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bio-Process Associate (BPA) on our new greenfield biologics facility. The role will support and deliver on process and equipment operation activities during manufacturing operations. Depending on the area the BPA is working within, the main activities are highlighted below:

Upstream: Operations and activities will include Inoculation, Cell culture, Media Prep, AEX Purification and Buffer Prep
Downstream: Operations and activities will include Buffer Prep, purification, chromatography, viral inactivation, depth filtration, viral filtration, UF/DF and bulk fill
Monitoring and overseeing these processes to ensure smooth operation at all times will be a core function of this role. BPAs will also develop and demonstrate individual skills as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and are required to display technical leadership by acting as ‘Champions’ to drive improvements and excellence within specific aspects of the manufacturing operation within the shift team.

Qualification:
Third Level Qualification in science or relevant discipline is essential;
OR
Equivalent demonstrated experience in (Bio) Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing/Food Production/relevant fast paced cGMP industry is essential.

To succeed in this role, experience in biopharmaceutical industry is an advantage and experience working as part of a team in a manufacturing environment is desirable. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
