The successful candidate will lead the Site Facilities team and specifically support the two manufacturing facilities, site laboratories, engineering buildings, administration areas and associated site infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Site Facilities and Technical Services activities at the site to meet functional and site objectives.
  • Provide accountability representing the Facilities team responsible for: site soft services, building services, utilities, facilities management, Good Manufacturing Practice cleaning, site security, laundry services, help-desk, Compliance and Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), fire systems, building maintenance, energy and sustainability, site permitting, electrical, gas, water and wastewater utilities, waste management, gas systems and refrigeration plant and lab services.
  • Be highly collaborative to ensure alignment on Environment Health & Safety Standards, Engineering Standards, Equipment Reliability Practices, Sustainability Program, Energy Management, Budgeting, Compliance focused, and share knowledge of learnings and activities taking part at the site.
  • Build a high-performance team and culture through effective talent acquisition, onboarding process, training program and guides for plant engineering.
  • Manage a team of direct reports and a large services team.
  • Develop a Facilities strategy and roadmap which includes operational management of systems as well as strategic investments aligned to local business objectives.
  • Responsible for vendor management, developing standards and specifications, programme scheduling, managing customer relationships, co-ordination of IFM maintenance and shutdown activities, business continuity planning, record and data management, CQV support, conducting investigations, forward planning and competent in financial and budget management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s of Engineering, Technical degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in the biologics and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • People management experience.
  • Proven ability around identifying and eliminating inefficiencies and implementing innovative technological solutions.
  • Strong operations support background ensuring value added and effective maintenance contribution and oversight.
  • Must be a team player prepared to lead, work in and embrace an interdependent working culture.
