Position Description



ESB’s
centralised Marketing Communications team is looking for a high
performing Advertising Manager to manage all Electric Ireland
Advertising (through the line). This individual will be responsible for
delivering compelling creative and effective execution in all marketing
channels (mass market & to a 1.3 million customer base). They will drive excellence in the advertising management process and lead a team of advertising experts to deliver success.



 



Key Responsibilities




  • Be
    the advertising lead on the Electric Ireland brand through the line.
    Manage one compositive advertising plan for the brand and own that
    holistic view of all advertising activity.

  • Collaborate
    with the Electric Ireland Residential & Business Marketing teams to
    understand business needs, strategic direction, and key priorities.
    Based off this, develop comprehensive advertising plans that feed into
    the overall Marketing plans for Electric Ireland.

  • Develop
    insightful & informative briefs for our media and creative
    agencies. Collaborate with the Strategy and Insights team to unearth
    thought provoking customer insights.

  • Develop, manage, and report on effective advertising KPIs. Provide recommendations for improved return on marketing spend.

  • Drive
    memorable, relevant, and disruptive creative to cut through in a low
    interest, crowded marketplace. Challenge and collaborate with creative
    agency partners.

  • Develop
    and execute effective media strategies and tactics across all channels.
    Optimise based on audit results, econometric modelling learnings,
    customer behaviour and effectiveness best practice.  Understand the media landscape and collaborate with our media agency partner.

  • Deliver an effective
    digital advertising strategy (including SEO). Collaborate with web and
    CX team to implement website updates to ensure marketing activity is
    followed by a seamless customer journey.

  • Implement
    & continuously optimise media tactics to drive online sales at an
    acceptable cost per acquisition. Work in collaboration with internal
    stakeholders across sales and marketing to plan, optimise and report
    results – actively contribute with regular analysis of marketing
    activity & funnel conversion.

  • Manage
    Electric Ireland social media platforms. Oversee social media customer
    care to ensure agents are delivering against agreed SLA’s & KPI’s.

  • Coordinate
    stakeholder engagement/approvals, ways of working across the team,
    budgets, and timelines to ensure work is delivered successfully.

  • On
    key projects, coordinate one response for segment marketing teams for
    all channels of advertising. This includes capturing, understanding
    & supporting PR, Sponsorship & straight to studio elements and
    weaving together into one response.

  • Carry
    out post campaign analysis and performance reports in a timely and
    efficient manner. Use the marketing scorecard to understand results,
    gather insights and recommend changes/learnings.

  • Manage four direct reports.

  • Manage the Electric Ireland Advertising budget. Ensure
    alignment with Electric Ireland Marketing teams & business units on
    activity. Manage business case/financial approvals.

  • Ensure
    all marketing activity adheres to advertising standards, customer codes
    of practice, regulation, GDPR and Brand Guidelines.

  • Actively contribute to the Marketing Communications team and wider Marketing and Customer Insights team.



 



Knowledge, Skills and Experience



Essential




  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar senior marketing role.

  • Proven experience in through the line marketing communications.

  • Creative flair with evidence of successful experience in managing advertising campaigns.

  • Experience working with or in media/creative advertising agencies.  

  • Digital marketing expertise and technical understanding of digital channels/tactics.

  • Experience using google analytics.

  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organisation & communication skills.

  • Commercially astute and able to apply strategic reasoning, analytical and budget management skills.

  • Team player and solution orientated, with the ability to multitask.  

  • People management experience.



 



Desirable




  • Qualifications in Marketing or Advertising.

  • Qualifications in digital marketing.

  • Personal Development training.

Essential




  • Honours 3rd level Degree, ideally in a marketing or business-related discipline.



 



Location



Swift Square, Santry, Dublin 9 in line with ESBs Smart Working arrangements.
