A further 26% are considering increases of 4–5%, while 6% intend to offer more substantial raises in the range of 6–10%.

The report also reveals that salary remains a key motivator for job mobility. Nearly half (45%) of workers say they would consider switching roles for a pay increase of 10% or less, while 30% would move for a raise of up to 20%. Fifteen per cent would require a 21–40% increase to justify changing jobs. Despite economic pressures, two-thirds of employees (66%) say they wouldn’t accept a pay cut even if their current position was at risk.

With six in ten employees anticipating a pay rise and nearly half open to changing roles for a modest salary increase, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of professional transition for many workers across Ireland.

Jobs Expo Galway presents a timely and valuable opportunity for anyone considering their next career move.
