The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University<\/a> (UM6P) is taking a great step toward strengthening Morocco\u2019s digital economy with the launch of a new cybersecurity branch at its College of Computing in Rabat. As cyber threats become more sophisticated and digital security needs escalate, UM6P is positioning itself as a leading institution for cybersecurity education, not just for Morocco but for Africa and beyond.<\/p>\n

A New Hub for Cybersecurity Talent<\/h6>\n

Located at UM6P\u2019s Rabat campus, the new cybersecurity branch aims to become a centre of excellence in cybersecurity education.<\/p>\n

UM6P\u2019s expansion into cybersecurity is spearheaded by Rachid Guerraoui, President of the Steering Committee for the College of Computing. He emphasized the importance of this development, stating:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to launch this new branch in Rabat. This expansion reaffirms our commitment to developing high-level expertise in strategic digital fields like cybersecurity. By establishing two centers of excellence\u2014one in artificial intelligence and machine learning in Benguerir and the other in cybersecurity in Rabat\u2014we aim to equip the next generation of digital leaders capable of meeting the challenges of Morocco\u2019s digital future and driving transformation across Africa.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
