In unadjusted figures, the total stood at 165,235, with 56.0% of registered individuals being male and 71.5% of them identified as Irish.<\/p>\n<p>The data reveals that the 25-34 years age group remains the largest cohort on the Live Register, numbering 38,858 people and accounting for 23.5% of the total. Notably, Kildare emerged as the only county to record an increase in the number of people on the Live Register over the past 12 months, with a rise of 111 individuals, equivalent to a 1.8% increase.<\/p>\n<p>In a further positive development, the number of people on the Live Register for less than one year dropped to 108,373 in January 2025. This represents a decline of 6,380 people, or 5.6%, compared to the same period last year.
