The latest figures released from the Central Statistics Office represents a slight increase from 4.1% in November 2024, it also highlights a positive long-term trend, as the figure is down from 4.5% in December 2023.<\/p>\n<h6>Unemployment by Gender<\/h6>\n<p>Breaking the data down by gender reveals minor fluctuations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The unemployment rate for males rose slightly to 4.2% in December 2024, up from 4.1% in November, but it improved year-on-year from 4.3% in December 2023.<\/li>\n<li>For females, the rate held steady at 4.2% in December 2024, unchanged from November, and significantly lower than the 4.6% recorded in December 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>Youth and Adult Unemployment<\/h6>\n<p>The youth unemployment rate (ages 15-24) saw a slight increase, climbing to 11.6% in December 2024 from a revised 11.2% in November.
